About Navicent Health Foundation

Since 1973, the Navicent Health Foundation has encouraged generosity to transform visions into reality. The support of many individuals, corporations, and foundations have had a significant impact on the health of our community.

Navicent Health System formed a strategic combination with Atrium Health, formerly Carolina’s Healthcare System January 1, 2019.  As a result of this strategic combination, Atrium Health Navicent serves as a hub for Atrium Health in central and south Georgia, enhancing Macon-Bibb County’s position as one of Georgia’s leading centers for healthcare. This combination keeps the physician community strong and enables patients to access advanced medical services locally.  The Navicent Health Foundation was excluded from the combination, in order to protect the investment of our donors and to ensure the funds raised in Central Georgia will benefit our Central Georgia Community.

Over the years, the Foundation has provided extensive support for medical research, technologies, equipment and large capital projects including:

A four story West Tower addition including a medical education center and intensive care unit
A vertical expansion adding three floors to the main hospital
The All Faiths Chapel
The Mary Covey Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Major support of the Ronald McDonald House
The Peyton Anderson Health Education Center
The Albert L. “Buddy” Luce Heart Institute
Pine Pointe Hospice House
The Peyton Anderson Cancer Center
Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital

The generosity of Navicent Health Foundation’s supporters remains a steadfast tradition. Gifts to the Navicent Health Foundation will continue to fund local healthcare programs and services. Our commitment to continuing a legacy of caring is a sound investment in our community.
